One of the subtle energy centers on which the science of yoga is based is located at the level of the navel and the solar plexus. This subtle center is responsible for the element Fire, which represents the vitality of the organism. Which explains why, in hatha yoga, navel postures are important for energy recharge and for fighting against coldness.
Navel posture
- Inhale, lie on your back.
- Bend your knees so that the soles of your feet are on the ground.
- Arms along the body.
- Exhale, retract and raise the abdomen.
- Raise your head (chin tucked), shoulders, back.
- Lift your feet up so that your knees are at eye level.
- Hold in idle pause for as long as possible.
- Inhale, slowly return to the ground.
- Repeat at least three times.
