Obtaining an exemption 

Alternative medicine degree equivalence

  • If the candidate has already followed one or more courses of the program in another institution and wishes to be exempted, he can request it (3 courses maximum). It will be necessary to provide all supporting documents and download them on the registration request.
  • It is up to the candidate to compare the CMDQ courses with those already taken, before applying. The detail and description of each course is available by clicking on the name of the course.
    • Also, health professionals (doctors, nurses, etc.) automatically benefit from exemptions for anatomy-physiopathology, pathologies and drug courses.
  • It will be necessary to provide all supporting documents and upload them on the registration request.
  • The CMDQ reserves the right to accept or refuse any request in the event that the supporting documents are not sufficient to establish equivalence.
  • There is a minimum charge for each exemption granted.

    You can request an exam exemption or course exemption:

    • You can receive the course material anyway, but are under no obligation to take the exam.
    • If you do not wish to receive the course materials, you can get a reduction in tuition, equivalent to the exempted courses. 

    All requests for exemptions are made during the online registration.

    In summary

    • If you think you are entitled to course exemptions, you must compare the courses taken with those of the CMDQ before making your request. The CMDQ cannot in any case do this work for you.
