Dear readers,
This month we are fortunate at the College of Alternative Medicine to welcome a very special student. All our students are special, but sometimes they tell us their story and it inspires us for an article. Thank you!
His name is Paul Saccà, from the province of Quebec. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and tells us in a few words how he got out of it. And how he has, at the same time, changed his life. This is what he tells us:
“A diagnosis of diabetes (type2) was a shock to me that shook my life considerably, but instead of feeling sorry for myself or, worse yet, cheating on my condition, I chose to consider the situation. as an opportunity to set things straight and take on a challenging challenge.
I began to study, myself, dietetics, myology, bodybuilding and stretching. At the end of this study, I formed my own protocol and I started the adventure to heal myself naturally, through diet and exercise.
In a short time, I achieved such spectacular results, that my data was presented in conference by my doctor. Indeed, in a single month, I went from an HbA1c of .106 to .59. In the six months that followed, I lost 60 pounds of body fat, gained 14 pounds of lean body mass, and dropped my fat percentage by 16%.
My diagnosis of diabetes was reversed and all medication stopped. Several people were amazed at my transformation: so I decided to create a Facebook page about my experience, which I called “Monastic Guru” (“monastic” for rigour in the healthy way of life and “guru” for transmission of the knowledge. Then, I bought a farm in Bellechasse to engage in permaculture and, still residing in Sainte-Foy, I was at the initiative of the political process that led to a regulation authorising the possession of urban hens on the territory of Quebec City.
I like to say that I am a credible witness that foods are, in themselves, drugs of formidable effectiveness. Nature is a real pharmacy! While doing research on the net, I then discovered the course of nutritherapy and the curriculum interested me deeply. As I plan to give lectures on my experience, I see in this training not only the opportunity to perfect my knowledge but also to seek an accreditation that could be useful in a post-career project.
I thank you for considering my candidacy and congratulate you for offering the possibility of training of this level on this vital aspect of health. ”
