Recognition... It's not just for Honor
I'm not sure if I can use this blog as a complaint platform, I'll guess my boss will let me know once it's been published.
I can't understand, for the life of me, why can't governments recognise alternative treatment options. I can't be all about the money. The truth is, and it's easy to prove it, alternative medicine saves a LOT of money to the system. We're talking about no side effects and the end of chronic disease (if you have a good practitioner.)
In theory, who cares if it's not recognised? You just go to your homeopath or naturopath and pay for his or her service. But it's expensive! And it's frustrating that it's such a parallel system, with no common ground between them. So, unless our practitioners decide to lower their prices, I really don't see how it's a viable option. Unless, only for the rich.
I had a second appointment with my naturopath today. Unfortunately, although I've seen real results in my condition, I won't be able, financially, to continue the treatment.
Somebody has to do something about this: find a way to have alternative medicine recognised and integrate it to the health system. We've seen tiny steps from the US Medicare, and other steps from Switzerland, but I want it here, and I want it now!
I'm spoke my piece.
