Recognitions and Accreditations
Naturopathy is officially recognized by the WHO and the European Parliament. With AMCC, you benefit from accredited training in Canada and internationally, giving you access to: tax deductions, tax credits, membership in a professional association and the ability to issue receipts for reimbursement by insurance providers or group benefit plans.

At the Canadian government level
The Department of Human Resources Development Canada and the Department of Employment and Immigration Canada accredit AMCC training (art. 118.5-118.6.) Tuition fees qualify for a monthly tax credit under professional training programs. See the Canadian federal government’s accreditation page for AMCC Federal Accreditation.
At the Quebec provincial government level
AMCC is considered an institution providing education (other than for the purpose of earning university credits) that allows you to "acquire and/or improve the knowledge necessary to practice a recognized profession."
Your employer can therefore cover the training fees, which will be deductible from their contributions. In addition, tuition fees qualify for a tax deduction.
Professional-level recognition
Membership in a professional association often allows for reimbursement by private insurers, though it does not constitute official recognition by the Ministry of Education or the Professional Order Office.
Several associations, in Canada and internationally, recognize AMCC training. Our graduates can therefore join them and issue receipts, subject in some countries to a qualifying exam.

The International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) was created to provide the public and health professionals with a body of regulated practitioners, all holding qualifications or experience at recognized levels. All our IPHM members are individually assessed and verified by IPHM so you know the service they offer is responsible and reliable.
Switzerland
In Switzerland, joining associations has depended on passing an exam since 2015. The exam requirements are governed by OrTra MA (Organisation du Monde du Travail de la Médecine Alternative Suisse).

In the absence of legal regulations, an independent self-regulating body has been established, reflecting the standards used in government regulations. Naturopath organizations also play a role in self-management, as demonstrated by the practice standards described on the ARONAH website.
