Oak – Quercus robur
The oak bud primarily acts on the nervous and glandular systems. It stimulates the pituitary gland and exerts a polyendocrine action. As a general tonic, it strengthens the body both physically and mentally. It is particularly recommended in cases of fatigue, overwork, or asthenia. In oral health, it is indicated for periodontal diseases (periodontitis, gum recession) as well as for bleeding or softened gums.
Effects on the Skin
Oak bud mother tincture is recommended for recurring herpes, psoriasis, furunculosis, dermatomyositis, and Werlhof’s disease.
Effects on the Digestive System
Oak has anti-diarrheal properties while also combating constipation and states of malnutrition.
Effects on the ENT and Oral Systems
As a Yang-type remedy, oak tones the alveolar bone wall. It promotes the healing of mucous membranes (gingivitis, stomatitis) and helps in cases of periodontitis, gum recession, or fragile gums.
Effects on the Nervous and Endocrine Systems
Oak stimulates all endocrine glands and energizes the body. It supports both physical and mental tone. It promotes the production of testosterone and spermatozoa, making it an interesting remedy for infertility in both men and women. Acting on the adrenal cortex glands, it has a "cortisone-like" effect useful in adrenal insufficiency or Addison’s disease. It also strengthens the reticuloendothelial system, with immunostimulant and anti-allergic effects.
Effects on the Urogenital System
Oak is beneficial for disorders related to andropause (male aging), sexual asthenia, decreased libido, frigidity, and overwork. It acts as a sexual tonic.
Effects on the Cardiovascular System
Mainly indicated for low blood pressure, oak bud helps rebalance blood pressure thanks to its biphasic action.
