Mimic Fasting Diet : not really a fast, but with all its benefits

Researchers from the University of South California made up a diet system where participants would refrain from eating their usual amount of calories for 5 days per month. The remaining 25 days, they would not change their diet. By simply diminishing the caloric intake by 34 to 54%, the risk of aging, diabetes and cancer was reduced. Also, it was shown to “cut belly fat, improve learning and memory skills and increase the number of stern cells ultimately increasing one’s lifespan” explains Longo, in charge of the research team. Strict fasting can be dangerous for one’s health and it’s not recommended in many cases. Those “half-fasts” allow for more safety and effective changes.
