Maurizio had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California, a major event for professionals in the natural and organic industry. This expo is recognized as the must-visit venue for discovering innovations in food, supplements, alternative medicine, and sustainable practices. Over four days, Maurizio explored thousands of products, met representatives from well-known brands such as Boiron, Natural Factors, Magtein, Trace Minerals, and Nordic Naturals, and engaged directly with them on trends and developments in the sector.

Among his discoveries, several rare and promising products caught his attention, including Green Euglena, a Japanese superfood containing 59 nutrients, reputed to improve sleep, reduce stress, and support the immune system, as well as Shatavari, an adaptogenic herb used for women’s reproductive health and vitality. Maurizio also explored numerous supplements, superfoods, cold-pressed oils, raw dairy products, pasture-raised meats, and low-glycemic flours, providing a comprehensive view of the natural and organic options available.

The expo was not only about products; it also offered a rich educational experience. Maurizio attended several conferences on topics such as food fermentation, probiotics and prebiotics, the benefits of omega-3, women’s brain health, and regenerative farming practices. These sessions provided insight into the scientific and practical impact of natural products and allowed attendees to anticipate future trends in health and wellness.

Beyond learning and discovery, the experience was highly inspiring on a human level. Maurizio highlighted the passion and dedication of the professionals he met, all committed to promoting healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. Activities like meditation in the Zen Den and outdoor yoga sessions offered moments of relaxation and rejuvenation during these intense days.

He did, however, note one criticism: some products presented as “natural” contained additives, sugar, or processed oils. This underscores the importance of reading labels carefully and verifying product quality in this sector.
