Dark Circles
The dark circles under the eyes are mainly caused by sub-palpebral congestion and local lymphatic issues. They often reflect excess localized fat, which can swell during periods of congestion, such as insomnia, stress, neck pain, headaches, or fatigue. Treatment should primarily address the underlying cause.
Not to be confused with eyelid swelling:
- Morning edema of renal origin
- Edema linked to idiopathic circulatory disorders
