Alum Stone
Aluminum sulfate and potassium sulfate, naturally found in alum stone, have antibacterial and astringent properties. They help tighten pores, tone the skin, reduce sweating, and promote hemostasis in case of minor cuts.
Slightly moisten the stone under cool water, then apply it to clean, damp skin. It is an excellent post-shave treatment, helping prevent ingrown hairs and small pimples.
Alum stone is also a natural alternative to deodorant, as it limits perspiration and inhibits odor-causing bacteria. Its powder can be used as a talc or bath salt to treat sweaty hands and feet.
