Homeopathy and Menopause

July 15, 2019

Based on the National Center for Homeopathy (NCH) webinar by Karen Allen CCH.

85% of homeopathy patients are women, according to a 2014 study. Let’s see how a homeopath could analyze the symptoms of menopause.

Some Common Menopause Symptoms

Physical symptoms of menopause include: headaches, allergies, anxiety, dizziness, swelling, incontinence, palpitations, weight gain, osteoporosis …

Mental symptoms of menopause include: memory loss, depression, lack of concentration, fatigue, irritability, insomnia …

Some situations reinforce the problems related to the symptoms of menopause: obesity, cigarette, stress, heredity … In addition, because of its stage a little advanced in life, the woman worries for different things: children who start their own home, finances that are not always at the rendezvous, elderly parents who are looking for a center to live … Difficult in all this to find space for oneself.

Homeopathy is a safe care system, used around the world, and increasingly popular.

The system works on the principle of similar symptoms. Homeo means similar, and Pathos – suffering. There are more than a hundred remedies that exist.

In menopause, every woman has an experience distinct from others. A dozen homeopathic remedies are usually used for the symptoms of menopause.

Some Common Menopause Remedies

For example, one can recommend Pulsatilla for a woman who feels overwhelmed, emotionally out of control. Generally, there are also associated physical symptoms, including heartburn and indigestion.

In the case of a transition related to hormones (such as pregnancy or menopause) and when the stomach is disturbed (dairy products or fat) it is recommended Pulsatilla.

If one has a case of exaggerated sweats, hot flashes, psychological resistance to menopause – Lachesis is useful. It is a remedy used in the hormonal system and when the left side is more dominant in terms of symptoms, in case of feeling of constriction, aggravation in the morning when waking up …

In cases of irritability, intense anger, insomnia – we propose Sepia. The person does not want people to come to talk to him, to touch her. She wants us to leave her alone. After a while, the treatment of Sepia allows a relaxation in the emotions that were locked up. The energy comes back, the contact is more sought after. Sepia is a common remedy for hormone problems.

Pulsatilla wants consolation, Sepia rejects those who want to reassure her.

Conclusion

Homeopathy is safe and effective. Just observe the symptoms you have and take the homeopathic remedy that matches your symptoms. In more serious cases, it is necessary to seek the help of a professional homeopath as in case of serious anemia for example.

The founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, said that the goal of homeopathy is to free the person from his symptoms to enable them to reach the highest goal of their existence. Help find the solution to your health problems to welcome the light of life!
