Camellia (Japanese Rose)

Also called Japanese Camellia, Camellia oil is extracted from fruits harvested in Japan each September. The seeds are first steamed, then cold-pressed using the traditional taméjime method. Rich in oleic acid (Omega-9), it helps maintain skin suppleness, promotes healing, and soothes sensitive or irritated skin. It also contains linoleic acid (Omega-6), palmitic acid, and stearic acid, which nourish, protect, and enhance hair, giving it shine, softness, and strength.

Nourishing and smoothing hair rinse:
Mix 2–3 drops of Camellia oil with a splash of apple cider vinegar in a bowl of lukewarm water. Whisk to emulsify and use to rinse freshly washed hair. Gently pat dry with a clean towel—do not rub.

Gentle nourishing face mask:
Using a small bamboo whisk, combine:

  • 1 tsp Camellia oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 3 drops lemon juice

Apply to the face and leave on for a few minutes. Massage gently before rinsing with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean, soft cloth.
