INGREDIENTS:
1 glass of oatmeal (or buckwheat flakes if you are gluten-free)
1 glass of water
1 glass of plant milk
1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey (optional)
1 pinch of salt
PREPARATION:
Mix everything together in a bowl, pour into a saucepan and simmer over a very low heat, stirring constantly for 4-5 minutes while the flakes rehydrate. Once you have a creamy texture, the porridge is ready! If you like it more melting, you can cook it longer.
Pour the mixture into a bowl, sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, add fresh fruit: bananas, blueberries, oranges, kiwis, etc. dried fruit, seeds, etc. It doesn’t get much more comforting and nourishing than this simple but delicious bowl.
