Juniper, Juniperus Communis

10/02/2024

Sacred Tree among the Celts and Germans, juniper is considered a protective shrub, capable of driving away evil spirits and guarding against theft. It is primarily recognized for its medicinal and culinary uses, particularly its black berries, which are used as a condiment and remedy, as well as for its essential oil distilled from the berries or branches. Gemmotherapy employs the tender green shoots.

Digestive System

It facilitates the digestive process and improves intestinal transit. By stimulating liver cells, it is remarkably effective in chronic hepatitis, especially those caused by medications.

Urinary System

A well-known remedy for dissolving kidney stones. It is a useful diuretic in cystitis and in the resorption of edema. It normalizes ionic balance and thereby fights against acidosis.

Circulatory System

It purifies the blood by ensuring the general detoxification of the body, notably by eliminating uric acid, urea, cholesterol, and sugar, as well as the side effects of medications.

Articular System

A remedy for atherosclerosis and various rheumatisms, it is indicated for chronic evolving polyarthritis (often associated with birch or bilberry).
