Hornbeam – Carpinus betulus

05/08/2025

The hornbeam bud is an excellent remedy for platelet deficiency (thrombocytopenia), particularly useful for people undergoing chemotherapy. It increases the number of platelets and improves their cytological quality. It also helps eliminate cholesterol and plays a role in atherosclerosis. It is recommended for liver insufficiencies, uremia, and uricemia. The hornbeam bud also acts on the ENT (ear, nose, and throat) area, having a specific effect on the sinus mucosa.

Other actions:

  1. Calming and Soothing Effect:
The hornbeam bud is known for its soothing properties, especially for people suffering from stress, anxiety, or emotional tension. It can be used to calm nervousness and promote a sense of mental and emotional well-being. This makes it an excellent remedy for burnout, nervousness, or psychological fatigue.

  2. Support for the Circulatory System:
The hornbeam bud is also beneficial for the blood circulation system. It promotes blood circulation and can be useful in cases of circulatory issues, such as heavy legs, or to support the venous system. It is reputed for its beneficial effects on the tonicity of blood vessels and for helping to improve blood circulation in cases of congestion or stagnation.

  3. Detoxifying Action:
This bud is also known for its detoxifying effects. It helps eliminate toxins from the body and supports the work of the kidneys and liver, thus contributing to the purification of the system.

  4. Anti-inflammatory Effect:
The hornbeam bud may have a mild anti-inflammatory effect. It is sometimes used to treat mild inflammations, especially those related to circulation, such as edema or inflammation of peripheral tissues.

  5. Support for the Lymphatic System:
It is sometimes used to help support the lymphatic system, contributing to the elimination of waste and toxins from the body, and promoting the proper functioning of the lymph.
